Benson Headed To Junior College

Rahshjeem Benson, a 6-9, 203 pound big forward from Lynn English High School in Massachusetts is headed to Polk Community College in Winter Haven, Florida. Benson advised RivalsHoops.com of his decision following his participation in the NBA All-Star Game at the Five Star Pitt IV Basketball Camp on the campus of Robert Morris University.
Benson, who was recruited by Hartford, Manhattan, Quinnipiac and Central Connecticut, said he will need to attain an associate degree to move onto Division I basketball. He transferred to Lynn English from the MacDuffie School last year.

Benson, with 11 points, was second highest scorer for his white squad which dropped the contest to the orange team 98-75. A strong performer in the paint, Benson also stepped out to the wing where he hit a three-point jump shot. He was named the Best Rebounder in the NBA group at Pitt IV.
The South Carolina native said he's been working on his low post moves, shooting and dribbling this summer.
