Ben Sullivan Has New List

Ben Sullivan, a sharp-shooting 6-8, 215 pound forward from Lake Oswego H.S. in Lake Oswego, Ore., has narrowed his focus to four schools this fall.
Sullivan told the Insiders Report that he has planned in-home visits with three of the colleges and an official visit with the fourth.

Sullivan will host Cal State Northridge and Portland on Sept. 9, while UC-Santa Barbara will make the trek north to Oregon to visit with Ben and his family on the 23rd.
Sullivan's first official visit will be to Columbia University in New York from Sept. 14-16. He does not have an in-home date set up with the Ivy League school, but the financial aid package that the school puts together for him could have a large impact on the feasibility of Ben attending the school.
Sullivan said he would prefer to sign early, although he has no timetable for a decision. However, the fact that he has a visit to Northridge for the weekend of Nov. 2-4 suggests that the decision might not come until sometime in November.
While playing with the Portland Inner City Hoops team at the adidas Big Time Tournament, Sullivan impressed us with his ability to knock down the long distance jumper. He was one of the better shooting big men we witnessed this past summer.
As a junior at Lake Oswego, Sullivan averaged 12 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two blocks per game.
A fine student, Sullivan said he carries a 3.6 GPA in the classroom and has already scored an 1150 on the SAT.
Sullivan enjoyed a busy summer, starting out at the Pump's West Coast All-Star Camp in July. He then joined his Inner City Hoops squad at a trio of July events -- the finalscore.com Tournament in Seattle, the adidas Big Time Tournament in Las Vegas and the Best of the Summer Tournament in Los Angeles.
The Insiders Report/Rivalshoops.com will keep you posted on Sullivan's recruitment in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
