Belt Knows How to Play

Sam Belt, a cerebral, 6-4, 200 pound swingman from Broken Arrow H.S. in Broken Arrow, Okla., is a player who impressed us with his all-around knowledge of the game at last weekend's Great American Shootout.
While he might be a step slow for some levels, Belt proved that there could be a place for him at the low Division I level with his unselfish team play last weekend.

Belt is one of those glue types of players who does the little things to help teams win -- whether it be rebound, set a pick, or make the extra pass.
While he currently does not have many Division I looks, Belt said he is open and looking to hear from more schools in the coming weeks. He averaged 11 points, seven rebounds and three assists per game this past season at Broken Arrow.
On top of that, he's got a 4.3 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) and has scored a 23 on the ACT.
Belt will finish up the summer with the Champions Elite at the adidas Big Time Tournament in Las Vegas and the MAYB Nationals in Wichita, Kan. We'll keep you posted on his progress, so stay tuned.
