Bell will ring in WCC

When Pepperdine parted ways with head coach Vance Walberg, the Waves lost two important guards with him. Now that Tom Asbury is back at the helm at the West Coast Conference school, he isn't wasting time trying to replace the lost incoming talent.
Pepperdine picked up an important commitment from three-star guard Keion Bell of Pasadena (Calif.) High School. Bell was one of the top unsigned guards on the West Coast.

His addition is a fine replacement for Brad Tinsley and Paul McCoy, who both opted out of their National Letter of Intent when Walberg was let go.
Bell said he saw an opportunity to play right away and help the Wave make the upswing in conference play.
"I'm excited about going there because I have a chance to do a lot of things," Bell told the Pasdena Star-News. "I'm going to try to help them turn the program around and put my face on the program."
Santa Clara, San Diego State, Miami and Penn State were also strongly considered, the paper wrote.
Bell averaged 22 points a game as a senior and played both guard positions. Athletically, he's one of the best in the West and should prove to be a valuable contributor right away next season.
