Bell will ring in ACC

Terrell Bell, a 6-foot-7, 190-pound wing from Stone Mountain (Ga.) High School, always had high-majors watching him but after the adidas Superstar camp, the three-star prospect had a number of offers to choose from. On Friday, he found a place that fit his style perfectly.
Bell verbally committed to Virginia Tech a couple days after unofficially visiting the Blacksburg campus.

"When I went up there, I loved the atmosphere they had. I liked what they have going on and what they had to offer," Bell said. "I felt like it was the best fit for me."
Virginia Tech was the first high-major to school to recruit him, Bell said. A host of others came in pursuit after Bell shined at the adidas Superstar camp in Atlanta at the start of July. Bell said Georgia and Cincinnati rounded out his top three options.
"Some schools came in, some dropped off, some were kind of interested but Virginia Tech was the first school and they really worked with me and developed a good relationship," Bell said. "That relationship is real important because I'm going to be there for four years and I'm going to need to be with them and they are going to be there for me."
Bell is the third player to commit to the Hokies in 2007, joining forwards Augustus Gilchrist and Jeff Allen. Bell, a multi-skilled wing is looking forward to moving around the court during his time at Virginia Tech.
"They said the plan is to play me strictly at three when I get there and then eventually move me to the two spot," he said.
Bell said he will officially visit Virginia Tech on Sept. 15.
