Beers Expected To Transfer

Dave Beers, a 6-1,165 pound senior shooting/combo guard from Broadalbin-Perth H.S. in Broadalbin, N.Y., is expected to attend Blair Academy in Blairstown, N.J., next fall.
The Insiders Report/Rivalshoops.com caught up with Albany City Rocks program director Jim Hart this week, and he said that Beers appears to be all set for Blair in the fall.

Just a few days earlier at the adidas Connecticut Select Hoop Challenge in New Haven, Conn., Hart had told us that Beers was looking at attending either Blair or Worcester Academy in the fall.
A lights out three point shooter with good athleticism, Beers committed to Siena in the fall. Even though he did not sign a national letter of intent with the Saints, he is expected to sign with Siena next fall.
The extra prep year should be beneficial for Beers, as it will give him the chance to bolster both his ball handling and play making skills against a higher caliber of competition.
Ironically, Beers helped the City Rocks win the championship of the 17 and under division at the Hoop Challenge, where he squared off against future Blair teammate Charlie Villanueva of the Long Island Panthers.
The City Rocks defeated the Panthers by a 63-48 score on Sunday.
Since we expect to see Blair in action many times next fall and winter, we'll keep you abreast on Beers and his development.
