Christ the King led 37-29 at the half, and thanks to the 22-12 surge buoyed by Beauford, took a 59-40 lead entering the fourth quarter of play.
All five Royals starters, including Beauford, hit for double figures. Impressive sophomore guard Chris Martin scored 13 points, while senior power forward Brian Williams (12 points), senior forward Justin Marshall (11 points) and senior point guard Japhet McNeil (10 points) also made key contributions.
Even though he struggled quite a bit with his outside shot, 6-2 sophomore point guard Greg Paulus showed great potential with his play making skills for CBA. He finished with 17 points, but it was senior swingman Ben Gaal who led the Brothers with 18 points.
