Beasley still firmly committed

Even after Michael Beasley went on the record with Rivals.com asserting that he is still firmly committed to Kansas State, the rumors of his involvement with Pittsburgh continue to swirl. Here is what Notre Dame Prep head coach Bill Barton has to say about the situation.
"According to Michael Beasley on Friday, he is still firmly committed to Kansas State and is not interested in Pittsburgh or any other school," said Barton. "I know that people are contacting Pittsburgh as so-called representatives of Beasley, and I'm sure a lot of that has to do with him playing AAU in the IS8. But those calls are being made without Michael's permission."

Pittsburgh did recently visit a Notre Dame practice, but the visit was not a recruiting trip directed at Beasley.
"Pittsburgh did come in, but they come in here every year," said Barton. "They had no contact with Beasley in the gym other than a hello when they passed by him."
Beasley, a 6-foot-9, 235-pound power forward and the No. 1 prospect in the Rivals150, transferred to Notre Dame Prep from Oak Hill Academy.
He put up 50 points in recently played AAU game at the IS8.
Michael Beasley scouting report:
The hallmark of Beasley's game is versatility. He is a 6-foot-9 combo forward with both a powerful game and a finesse game. The future of the NBA calls for forwards who can run, defend multiple positions and stretch the defense on the offensive end. Beasley fits this mold to a tee. He is effective in transition both as a finisher and handler. He is capable of switching on the high ball screen and guarding a perimeter player while also capable of banging down low against the big boys. Offensively, he can score at all three levels and is a terrific scorer and passer off the dribble, causing match up problems for his opponents.
