Beasley finds a high school

There has been much speculation as to where Rivals.com's No. 1 player in the country Michael Beasley will play his senior season. Today Beasley, who is a Kansas State commitment, confirmed with Rivals.com that he will attend Notre Dame Prep in Fitchburg, Mass.
"Basically, I needed a school that is good academically and in basketball," said Beasley, a 6-foot-9, 235-pound power forward. "Notre Dame fits that. I'll be leaving this weekend to go there."

Beasley, who would not comment on why he is not returning to Oak Hill Academy where he played his junior year, noted that he is good shaped academically.
"I'm in good shape," he said. "I just need to get through this year. I'll take the SAT in November."
On the court, Beasley recently played in the Boost Mobile Elite 24 Hoops Classic at Rucker Park in New York City, earning MVP Honors and rave reviews with his 26 point, 9 rebound performance.
"I didn't really play as well as I can play, but it was a great experience to play in such a legendary park," he commented.
Michael Beasley scouting report:
The hallmark of Beasley's game is versatility. He is a 6-foot-9 combo forward with both a powerful game and a finesse game. The future of the NBA calls for forwards who can run, defend multiple positions and stretch the defense on the offensive end. Beasley fits this mold to a tee. He is effective in transition both as a finisher and handler. He is capable of switching on the high ball screen and guarding a perimeter player while also capable of banging down low against the big boys. Offensively, he can score at all three levels and is a terrific scorer and passer off the dribble, causing match up problems for his opponents.
