BCs Craig Smith Unloads On Lawrenceville

Craig Smith, a 6-8, 220-pound power forward from Worcester Academy in MA, put on a show earlier yesterday afternoon in New York City. Smith scored 30 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to lead Worcester to a hard fought win, 79-59, over Lawrenceville.
This game was much closer than the score. Worcester led only by 10 points heading into the fourth. But throughout this up and down game, it was the big guy who delivered the key baskets.

Smith is vastly underrated. He will do well on the college level because he knows how to handle his wide frame in the low post. When he catched the ball in the low post, he knows what to do with the rock. He has some dipsy doodle moves as well as an up and under move.
Smith is a tough warrior inside. He battles for every loose ball. He is extremely confident when his teammates feed him the ball. And he establishes position with authority. These are all great signs of a player who will score for you in the low post.
Smith averaged over 20 points and 12 rebounds as a junior and senior at Fairfax High School in California before playing this season for Worcester Academy.
Boston College fans will be very happy when Smith plays for the Eagles next season.
