Baylors Nelson Likely To Bail

With the whole mess that has developed at Baylor, it's likely there will be players looking to jump out of the program. One player who might transfer was incoming freshman Tyrone Nelson, who last summer was considered one of the better big men available in the 2003 class.
This site watched Nelson play several times last summer. Nelson's AAU team, the Houston Superstars struggled a bit during the Three Stripes event last summer. Nelson's big game at the Three Stripes tournament was against the Michigan Mustangs. Nelson scored 30 points lead his team to a victory.

He scored 15 points in a loss to the Minutemen Press, 14 in a defeat to Team Minnesota, 11 in a loss to the Playaz Black team, and another 10 in a rematch against Team Minnesota.
Nelson, a long 6-foot-10, 210-pound power forward who comes from Hempstead, Tex., had recruiting interest from Maryland, Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Connecticut, Florida, Indiana, Houston, Alabama, Arkansas and Kentucky early on in his recruiting process last year.
It's unclear what schools will jump into the mix with Nelson. However, indirect contacts have been made to some schools. It's likely Nelson will make a decision quickly since school will be starting soon at most colleges and universities across the country.
