Baylor signs late addition to 2012 class

Originally slated to attend Long Island University, Taurean Waller-Prince will now play in the Big 12.
After receiving his release from LIU on Friday, the 6-foot-7 forward from San Antonio (Texas) Warren visited Baylor over the weekend.

Monday, the three-star forward signed with the Bears.
"It's a place where I want to be," Waller-Prince told Blue Zertuche of Texashoops.com. "Their tradition in the NCAA tournament, and the way they develop players for the NBA is very exciting. The academics are high and the campus is beautiful."
While it's going to be tough for Prince-Waller to replace departed freshman Quincy Miller, he plays a comparable style. He is long, a good athlete, will make some perimeter jumpers but needs work on his strength and game off the dribble.
Waller-Prince joins a recruiting class that already includes five-star center Isaiah Austin, four-stars Ricardo Gathers and L.J. Rose and three-star big man Chad Rykhoek.
