Baylor Picks Up Point Guard
Baylor University gained a verbal commitment from 6-4 point guard Lamar Hurd from Heritage Christian Academy in Cleveland, Texas, the Waco Tribune-Herald reported Tuesday. Cleveland is northeast of Houston.
Hurd, a two-time all-state selection, averaged 9.8 points, 9.7 assists and 8.0 rebounds this year for a 29-7 Heritage Christian team.

He picked the Bears over Oklahoma, Illinois, Northwestern and Houston.
