Bass Lines Up Visits

The top remaining prospect in the Southeast region, Brandon Bass from Capitol (LA) High School in Baton Rouge, has taken two of his official and had another one lined up for this weekend until unforeseen circumstances made him change his plans.
"I'm supposed to be going to see UCONN. But right now it doesn't look like I'm going to be able to make it. Hopefully I can reschedule," Bass explained. "I have to take the SAT Saturday and I really can't miss that. I'm going to talk to the coaches at Connecticut and see what we can work."

Bass, who is rated the seventh best forward and 23rd top prospect nationally by RivalsHoops.com, has already taken visits to LSU and Miami.
"The LSU trip was straight. I've been there before and I had a good time. I know some of the players and like the coaches."
"Miami was a really nice visit. The social life down there is amazing and the whole atmosphere is cool."
Bass said his 4th visit will be to University of Southern California on October 18th and indicated that his final visit could come from one of three schools.
"Right now Kentucky, Cincinnati, and maybe Mississippi State will get my last visit," Bass said. "I'm not positive at this point and I'm still talking to the coaches to find out which school I think might be the best fit for me."
With the early signing period drawing close Bass said he was in no rush and planned to talk his time before announcing his decision.
"I'm currently wide-open and it could be awhile before I figure out which school I like the most," he said. "I'm really just getting to the point where I am looking at the finer things like academics and campus life. I'm not in a big rush. Since this is a big decision for my future I'm not going to do anything hasty."
Last season Bass averaged 18 points, 13 rebounds, eight blocks and three assists per contest.
