Bass Is Still Open

Brandon Bass, a bruising 6-8, 234-pound power forward from Capitol High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, told us last night that he still hasn't cut his school list down to a workable number. "I have many schools that I am interested in," Bass said. "I don't know when I might make a decision. I could wait until the Spring."
Bass emerged as one of the top players at his position at the ABCD camp. He possesses a wide body and is blessed with good athleticism. He has an excellent frame and runs the floor well. Brandon is also quick off his feet. "I was happy with the way the summer went," Bass said. "But I am going to try to work on my skills more this winter."

Bass has heard from Georgetown, LSU, Mississippi State, Texas, Texas A&M, Cincinnati, Kentucky, Georgia Tech, UConn, Miami of Florida, Missouri, USC, UNLV, Illinois, and Arkansas.
Brandon averaged 18 points, 13 rebounds, and 8.5 blocks this past high school season. "I don't have a leader," Bass said. "But if there comes a time when I feel very comfortable with a school and a coach I would make a decision."
