Barro Surfaces At JUCO

Ousmane Barro, a 6-8, 210 pound power forward who last year attended Julian H.S. in Chicago, Ill., has resurfaced as a junior college this fall.
Rivalshoops.com was at the Mullen/Mitchell Dallas JUCO Jamboree this past weekend in Texas, and noticed Barro sitting on the bench of the Seward County Saints basketball program.

Although Rivalshoops.com was unable to confirm with the Seward County staff, it's our understanding that Barro will attempt to earn his GED this fall at the Kansas junior college and enroll as a full-time student there in January.
If so, he won't be able to play there until the 2003-2004 season, and as a non-qualifier out of high school, it's likely that he will need to stay there two years and earn his associates degree.
Barro, a native of the Senegal, was unable to play last winter at Julian H.S. in Chicago. Rivalshoops.com had heard earlier this fall that he had moved to Miami to enroll in a high school in South Florida, although his recent move to the Midwest makes it look like his days as a high school student are over.
If anything official comes down the pike with Barro, Rivalshoops.com will let you know, so stay tuned.
