Barnes trims list, setting visits

The nations's premier wing Harrison Barnes took another step towards his college decision. Barnes is now officially down to six schools.
In an emailed press release, Barnes of Ames (Iowa) Senior High School announced that he is down to Duke, Kansas, North Carolina, Oklahoma and UCLA along with hometown school Iowa State, whom Barnes added in a second paragraph after naming the other five.

Stanford, Florida, Kentucky and Minnesota are no longer in the running.
Barnes will officially visit North Carolina September 4 and will hit up Duke either October 16 or 23. Iowa State will receive an unofficial visit, and official visit dates to the other three schools has yet to be determined.
Barnes, the No. 2 ranked prospect in the Rivals150, is planning his visits around basketball events.
He finished his summer travel circuit with an extremely impressive performance at the Nike Global Games.
