Barnes taking game to OVC

Riverdale (Ga.) power forward Terell Barnes is off the board. The 6-foot-8, 232-pound big man from the Peach State is headed to Tennessee Tech.
"It was the right time and I felt like it was the right place," Barnes said. "When I went up there for my visit, I felt really comfortable with the players and the coaches. I just knew that it was the place for me."

Barnes said he also considered Arkansas State and Central Florida. A chance to play early and play often was one of the selling points for TTU, Barnes said.
"I want to win and I want to play. But winning is the most important thing with me," Barnes said. "I'm all about winning and that's all I want to do when I get there."
Barnes joins Tennessee point guard Chase Dunn in the class. Barnes said he liked the vision that head coach Mike Sutton has for his future.
"He feels like I'm going to be a dynamic four man for them. Me and Bassy Inameti (a redshirt freshman for the Golden Eagles) can help each other out and play the skilled four position at the high post. I think we can work well together."
