Barbour Close On Finishing

Kentucky signee Antwain Barbour is finishing up his degree requirements this spring at Wabash Valley College in Mt. Carmel, Ill.
According to Wabash Valley Head Coach Mark Nelson, Barbour will complete his associates degree requirements sometime in the next few weeks.

"He dropped a math class, and he's taking it now during inter-session," Nelson said. "He's already started it, and because he's taking it by appointment, he could done as early as next week."
Nelson said that Barbour has done well at Wabash, compiling a GPA over 3.0.
On the floor, Barbour has been the centerpiece of the Warriors' program for the past two years. As a freshman in 2000-2001, he copped Most Outstanding Player honors in leading Wabash Valley to the NJCAA title.
In 2001-2002, Barbour helped the Warriors to a fourth place finish, averaging 15.3 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game.
Barbour is a native of Elizabethtown, Ky.
