Barbaris Reopens Recruiting

Neil Barbaris, a 6-11, 250 pound center from Palm Beach C.C. in Lake Worth, Fla., has decided to reopen his recruiting process this spring.
A native of West Milford, N.J., Barbaris had signed in the fall with Albany. In the months since he signed with the Danes, Head Coach Scott Beeten was replaced by Asst. Coach Will Brown.

Barbaris requested and was granted a release by Albany. According to Palm Beach Head Coach Steve Bernath, Youngstown State, The Citadel, Quinnipiac, Monmouth and UNC-Asheville have expressed an interest in the developing big man.
Barbaris averaged four points and eight rebounds per game, Bernath said.
Since many schools are still learning of Barbaris' situation, it will likely take a while before a new decision is reached. But we'll let you know what happens as it occurs.
