Banks Ready To Rock

One particular player fans and media are anxious to see this weekend at the Rumble in the Bronx is Sean Banks, a multi-talented 6-7, 190 pound small forward from Bergen Catholic H.S. in Oradell, N.J. Banks will be playing this weekend for the Playaz Gold team under head coach Jim Salmon.
Banks was tremendous on Memorial Day weekend. He led the Playaz Gold team to one of the tournament titles at the Bob Gibbons TOC. "It was a great win for us," Banks said. "Everything worked. I am looking forward to this weekend."

Banks is in the process this week of finishing up finals. Banks continues to list Illinois, Maryland, North Carolina, Kansas, Texas, Connecticut, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Seton Hall, St. John's, Syracuse, Cincinnati, Louisville, Marquette and Tennessee as potential college destinations.
"I have already visited Pittsburgh," Banks said. "Brandin Knight took me around. I stayed with him. I had a good time with him."
Banks said he learned some new info about the school. "Pittsburgh is going to have a new gym," Banks said. "I was taken to the new gym and had a chance to look around. It's really nice. It seats about 12,000 people."
Banks said he won't take any more official visits. "I will probably take some in the Fall," Banks said. "But I am open."
One of the more versatile players in the Class of 2003, Banks is a gifted ball handler and passer. He plays both inside and out due to his size at Bergen Catholic, but plays primarily on the wing with Jimmy Salmon's T5T Playaz program.
Banks is expected to attend the adidas ABCD Camp in New Jersey this July, and then will tour the circuit with the Playaz, whose pit stops will include the adidas Big Time Tournament in Las Vegas.
