Baltimore Point Guard Is Open
Maurice Barksdale, a 5-10, 165 pound traditional point guard hasn't received many Division I looks prior to the July evaluation period. But that should change following his excellent play with the Baltimore Blue this summer.
Barksdale averaged 13 points and six assists as a junior for the Baltimore Dunbar Poets (21-6), the Class 1A state runnerup in 2002. "So far I've heard from Hartford," he said at last week's Triple S Harley Davidson Charlie Weber Invitational at West Virginia University.

He's a traditional point guard who looks to lead the game and make his teammates play better. Barksdale has quick hands and a nice release on his jump shot.
The Baltimorean received an 880 on the SAT and hasn't decided what he will study in college.
