Butler scored a commitment this morning Henry Baddley, but they weren't done there. On Thursday night, they received more good news from Kamar Baldwin, a Rivals150 guard out of Apalachee, Georgia.
Baldwin officially visited Butler last weekend, but was going to give Clemson a chance to host him on a visit before deciding. His plans changed last night.
"I was already leaning toward Butler when I found out Clemson got another guard commitment yesterday so they didn't have any more spots," Baldwin said. "Once I saw that, I just decided to go ahead and commit to Butler."
The visit to Butler sealed the deal for Baldwin as he enjoyed his time around the players and coaching staff.
"I really enjoyed my visit and really liked hanging out with all the players," he said. "They were all really cool and seem like they had great team chemistry. I really liked the coaches there too."
Butler's winning tradition was a major selling point as well.
"I definitely wanted to go somewhere that had been winning and I want to try to be a part of getting Butler back to the Final Four in back to back years like they did a few years ago," Baldwin said. "Me and Joey [Brunk] were talking about that while I was on my visit."
Baldwin becomes Butler's fourth commitment in the 2016 joining Baddley, Brunk and Howard Washington. Clemson and Ole Miss were the other serious players in his recruitment. Providence, TCU and USC made late pushes for the No. 133 prospect in the 2016 Rivals150.
