Badgers raid Minnesota again
Add another Wisconsin basketball player from Minnesota to the list. Junior Mike Bruesewitz verbally committed to Bo Ryan and the Badgers this week, according to several news reports.
The 6-foot-7, 215-pound forward from Henry Sibley High School in Mendota Heights, Minn., is the fourth player in three years from the Land of a Thousand Lakes to pledge to Ryan's program.

After unofficially visiting the Big Ten school last week when the Badgers played host to Purdue, Bruesewitz decided it was time to give his nod to the school.
"First of all, it's a first-class program," Bruesewitz told the Wisconsin State Journal. "They win a lot, I like that. It's a great program, they've got great facilities and the biggest thing of all is Wisconsin is a great school. All of that combined, I really liked it."
Bruesewitz is having a big junior season for Sibley High, averaging a cool double-double (16 points and 10.5 rebounds a game). His play has helped his team in a 14-game winning streak.
Bruesewitz also considered Minnesota, Purdue, Davidson, Washington State, Iowa, Valparaiso and Montana. The big man is the first player to commit to Wisconsin in the class of 2009.
