AZ guard torn between two

Arizona guard Ty Abbott is finished with his official visits and has trimmed his list to a pair of West Coast programs. The 6-foot-4, 192-pound shooting guard from Desert Vista High School in Phoenix, is now going through the information he gathered on his trips and hopes to have a decision in the near future.
Abbott officially visited Wichita State, Utah and New Mexico in the last three weeks and said he knows the clock is now ticking.

"I'm done with my visits," Abbott said. "It's pretty much (Utah and New Mexico)."
No comes the hard part: picking just one.
"That is what makes it so tough because they are really the same thing at each place. They both have great players and great coaches," Abbott said. "I'd like the visit from Utah to wear off a little bit so I can get down to the basics and see what I like in Utah and what I like in New Mexico. I think I'll be able to have a decision by the end of the week."
The Mountain West schools can't posture for position with the location angle either. Abbott said the flight to Salt Lake City was five minutes longer than the trip to Albuquerque.
The Lobos were the first to recruit him, Abbott said, and the opportunity of replacing J.R. Giddens in the lineup is intriguing.
"He is probably going to go to the NBA after this season and they said they need a guy to come in and learn the ropes and make an impact as a freshman," Abbott said.
Utah head coach Ray Giacoletti was the last head coach to have Abbott on campus and the time spent in SLC was good, Abbott says.
"It was nice up there. They have a really good environment and a good basketball situation," Abbott said of the Utes. "He said they wanted to find an athletic shooter and someone who could separate themselves from the defense and someone who can slash to the basket. They said they felt like that was me."
Now he just has to find the right place.
