Playing catch up on his academics, Kodi Augustus has decided to reclassify to the class of 2007 according to his AAU coach John Eurey. Coach Eurey also gave us a new top five school list for Augustus, a 6-foot-8, 200-pound small forward from Willowridge High School in Pearland, Texas.
"Kodi is focused on getting a degree," said Coach Eurey of the Houston Superstars. "He wants to make sure he has everything in order before he goes to college. He and his parents want to make sure he is prepared. He fooled around in school when he was younger and now he has some ground to make up."
One of the first steps for Augustus will be taking the SAT on December 3.
When it comes to Augustus' school list, five schools standout according to Eurey.
"Kodis' top five are Florida, Texas, Missouri, Texas A&M and Tennessee," said Eurey. "All five schools have said they will take him as part of their 2007 class."
A dangerous scoring threat with his combination of length and shooting ability, Augustus is also developing the ability to attack off the dribble. His defensive intensity and feel for the game as a passer are in need of improvement.
As a member of the 2006 class, Augustus was ranked as the No. 126 prospect in thecountry.
