Augustus favoring three

Kodi Augustus, the No. 126 ranked prospect in the Rivals150, has a host of schools recruiting him, but since he will not take the SAT until November, it appears that he will be a late signee. Three schools are presently in the lead to get the signature of Augustus, a 6-foot-8, 200-pound small forward from Willowridge High School in Pearland, Texas.
"I'm interested in Florida, Illinois, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and Missouri," said Augustus. "All of them have offered except for Illinois, but I'm not sure about them because they deal with my AAU coach.

"My top three out of that group are Illinois, Florida and Missouri."
Augustus, who averaged 18 points, 10 rebounds, 5 steals, 4 blocks and 2 assists per game as a junior, commented on his top three schools.
Illinois: "I like Coach Weber a lot and the style that he plays. I'm interested in learning more about the program."
Florida: "I like the way Coach Donovan coaches and also how they let their big men shoot the ball."
Missouri: "I went to team camp there and really enjoyed it. They have nice facilities, and the coaching staff seemed really cool."
Kodi Augustus scouting report:
Preferring to play facing the basket, Augustus has a smooth shooting stroke and the length to shoot over defenders. Ball handling and passing skills need improving, tends to play too upright with the ball. Has the potential to be a good offensive rebounder but needs to get stronger. Relies more on his length than on foot speed as a defender.
