Auburn Adds Late Signee
Troy Gaines, a 6-0, 180 point guard from Scottsdale (AZ) Community College, has signed with the Auburn Tigers, according to our affiliate AuburnSports.com. The SEC school had earlier lost power forward recruit Terry Licorish who did not satisfy the NCAA's academic standards.
Gaines, who sat out last season, averaged eight points, six assists and four rebounds per game, shooting 45 percent from the field, 70 percent from the line and 38 percent from three-point range as a freshman at Scottsdale.

He was a full qualifier out of Tuscon HS where he averaged 16 points per game as a senior.
