Aubin Scott Update

Aubin Scott, a 6-1, 170-pound combo guard from Hempstead High School in New York, took an official visit to Howard two weekends
ago. He will also take official visits to Central Connecticut and Sacred Heart. He has not set those visits up yet.

Scott's list includes Howard, Central Connecticut, and Sacred Heart. New Orleans had shown interest earlier, but is no longer involved.
Scott will make a late decision. Scott reports that his Core GPA is fine, but he
still needs to get a qualifying SAT score. Scott will take the test again on November 3rd.
Scott is a player whose skills may have been
overshadowed this summer in the presence of the Sumpters and Frasers, not to mention teammate Daryl Hill's emergence onto the national scene. Scott is a combo guard whose game is reminiscent of another
Hempstead native: Sixer guard Speedy Claxton.
Scott is explosive off the dribble with a quick first step. He moves well without the ball and displayed good range when we saw him. He garnered a reputation as a ball-hawk defensively this summer as a smothering
on-the-ball presence.
Scott averaged 17 points and nine assists for a Hempstead program that quietly has churned out a handful of quality Division I players the past few years, among them Rhode Island's Tavorris Bell and Eric Ferguson.
