Arthur returns home from LSU

Now that Darrell Arthur has returned home from an unofficial visit to LSU, the 6-foot-9, 220-pound power forward from South Oak Cliff High School in Dallas, Texas, is in the process of making a decision about his future. The No. 16 ranked player in the class of 2006 will decide between three schools.
"Yes, we did take a visit to LSU this weekend," said Sandra Arthur, Darrell's mother. "The visit to LSU went well. We have not decided on a school yet, but we hope to have that done later on in the week. We were able to take a tour of the campus; we spoke to the athletic director, spoke to some academic advisors, visited the dorms and spent time with the coaching staff and players.

"We really did have a nice visit," she added. "Now that we are back home, we are going to sit-down and talk about the visit and the other schools. Kansas, Baylor and LSU are the final three schools that Darrell is considering. We are going to talk about each of the schools and then make a decision about what school my son is going to attend."
Many close to the situation believe that LSU is the overwhelming favorite to land Arthur, the No. 3 ranked power forward in the class of 2006. Despite the fact that LSU has not been recruiting Arthur for very long, they have done an outstanding job of making up a lot of ground in a short period of time.
However, Arthur's mother indicated that no leaders have emerged just yet. She made it perfectly clear that her son is seriously interested in all three schools.
"Darrell has not made a decision on a school," she said. "He has not given a commitment to LSU or any other school. Darrell does like Kansas, Baylor and LSU, but he has not committed to anybody. We are going to sit-down this week and make the best decision for Darrell."
Darrell Arthur Scouting Report: Very athletic, Arthur has the size and skill base as well to be a combo forward at the highest level. Capable of dominating the glass, Arthur can, however, play too passive at times. -Jerry Meyer
