Arthur not ready to decide

After retuning home from an official visit to Indiana on Sunday, there was some talk indicating Darrell Arthur might be ready to make a decision about his future later on today. Rivals.com just spoke to South Oak Cliff head coach James Mays to get the latest update on Arthur, the No. 19 ranked player in the class of 2006.
"Yes, Darrell spent the weekend taking an official visit to Indiana," said Mays. "I have not talked to him about the visit yet, but I plan to do that later on in the day. I can tell you that he was on the Indiana campus this weekend."

On Sunday afternoon, there were a few reports indicating Arthur, the No. 4 ranked power forward in the class, might give a commitment to North Carolina some time on Monday. According to coach Mays, those reports are false. In fact, Arthur is looking forward to taking his remaining visits before making a decision about his future.
"I can tell you that Darrell is not going to make any decisions today," he said. "He is looking forward to taking his official visit to Kansas this weekend. Darrell is also looking forward to taking visits to Baylor, SMU and Texas (unofficially).
"Nothing has changed as far as his visit schedule goes," he added. "Everything is going according to plan, and Darrell will not make a decision until all five visits have been taken."
Darrell Arthur Scouting Report: Very athletic, Arthur has the size and skill base as well to be a combo forward at the highest level. Capable of dominating the glass, Arthur can, however, play too passive at times. -Jerry Meyer
