Armstrong Visiting Connecticut
The news is good for Connecticut fans when talking about Hilton Armstrong's official campus visit. Armstrong watched a Big East win by Connecticut over Boston College today. Sources tell us Armstrong is close to giving a verbal commitment to Jim Calhoun's program.
Sources close to Armstrong tell us tonight Hilton will watch a practice tomorrow and perhaps give a commitment to Connecticut when he sits down to speak to Calhoun and his staff. Armstrong's father is also on this trip.

LaSalle is the other school Armstrong is considering strongly.
A fine and very mobile run/jump athlete with good hands, Armstrong is one of the few big men left in the 2002 class. So it would be a big pickup for UCONN or LaSalle to land Armstrong, 6-9 and 210-pounds.
