Armando Surratt Emerges With Interest

Armando Surratt, a cat-quick 5-10, 153 pound point guard from Oakland Tech H.S. in Oakland, Calif., was one of the better sleepers to emerge at the recent adidas ABCD Camp in New Jersey.
Surratt can pretty much get anywhere he wants with the basketball, and as a result, is very difficult to pressure when he has the rock in his hands. He's also a top notch defender and a good slasher who specializes in acrobatic finishes for a little guy, although he must remember to stay under control at times (decision-making can be erratic).

Surratt told the Insiders Report that he has been contacted by Georgetown, Miami, UCLA, Southern Cal, San Jose State, Texas El Paso and Tulsa thus far.
As a junior at Oakland Tech, Surratt averaged 18 points, two rebounds, seven assists and five steals per game. He said he has a 2.33 GPA and took the SAT for the first time on June 2.
Surratt will attend the adidas Big Time Tournament and the Oakland Slam N Jam/EBO Elite 8 X 2 Tournament next week on the West Coast with George Albanez's 805 basketball program.
