Arkansas combo forward drawing attention

Three-star 2006 prospect Chris Brown put up some big numbers as a high school sophomore although he is still growing into his game. The SEC and others are calling on the 6-foot-8, 205-pound from Searcy (Ark.) High School combo forward, and he has an offer from an in-state school.
"Chris is hearing from Arkansas, LSU, Arkansas State, Cincinnati, Western Illinois, and Arkansas-Little Rock,” said Brown’s AAU coach Edward Dunham of the Arkansas Wings. “He has been offered by Arkansas State."

Athletic and long, Brown has the versatility to do damage both on the perimeter and around the basket. He averaged 17 points and 9 rebounds per game as a sophomore.
"Chris can play the three and four,” said Dunham. “He can take you outside or come inside depending on the match up. He plays the game above the rim. Chris is a great shot blocker and runs like a deer. He's a real athletic kid. He knows how to recognize a mismatch and take advantage of it. Chris is a definite high major player."
Coach Dunham then commented on the areas of Brown’s game that need improving.
"Chris needs to get more in depth with his basketball IQ,” he said. “He also needs to work on his ball handling. I think he needs to put on 20 pounds and get stronger."
Brown, who has a 3.5 GPA, is outstanding off the court as well according to Coach Dunham.
"He's a great kid. He's the type of kid that a coach will not have to worry about causing any problems."
