Arizona State nabs Los Angeles point guard

Over the past month or so, junior Tra Holder has raised his stock as much as anybody in the country. Friday night, he decided that he'd had enough when it came to his recruitment.
The tough 6-footer from Los Angeles (Calif.) Brentwood Academy committed to Arizona State, according to his summer coach, Ryan Silver of Earl Watson Pangos Elite.

"Earl Watson Pangos Elite guard Tra Holder has committed to play at ASU," Silver texted Rivals.com. "Coach (Herb) Sendek is a terrific X's and O's coach. Stan Johnson did a great job recruiting Tra. Arizona State is doing big things."
Ranked No. 137 in the class of 2014, Holder plays low to the ground and has a tremendous first step. He can finish with contact, he makes jump shots, and he is comfortable playing as a scorer or a setup guy.
Holder is Arizona State's third recruit for the class of 2014. He joins guard Kodi Justice and local big man Connor MacDougall.
