It didn't take long into his official visit to Arizona State for high flying power forward Kenny Wooten to decide that Tempe was the place for him.

The 6-foot-8 power forward from Las Vegas (Nev.) Trinity who initially signed with Nevada as a high schooler committed to the Sun Devils on the first day of his official visit.

"Arizona State has everything that I'm looking for," Wooten told Rivals.com. "Everything that I see, they provide. I honestly feel like I'm at home."

Just last week at the Tarkanian Classic, Wooten revealed that he was down to six and hoping to take visits. However, the relationship built by Bobby Hurley and his staff allowed them to lock Wooten up on his first visit.

"Just being here for this amount of time and talking to the coaching staff a lot, me and the coaching staff have a connection," said Wooten. "It's almost like friends and I really feel like I'm at home. I get along with the players and we are all on the same page."

Wooten is a high flyer who crashes the glass and plays the game with a high level of energy. He should be the type to excite fans and he says to expect a more well rounded game than advertised.

"They should be expecting a defensive specialist and a scorer," said Wooten. "I'm looking to lock up scorers on the defensive and and get blocks and rebounds. Then I'm looking to score when I can.

"I want to improve on my ball handling skills which is something I do that is definitely on the rise."

Initially, Wooten had hoped to enroll somewhere this winter and redshirt for the second half of the 2016-17 season. Instead, he'll wait to make his way to campus this summer.

"It's a great relief to get that weight off your shoulders," said Wooten. "Now you can focus on training and competing knowing where you are going."
