Another GC Baller to the Big East

After having four prospects commit to the Big East over the summer, the GC Ballers now have a fourth prospect slated to play in the Big East. 6-foot-10, 285-pound center Franklin Jones from Mt. Zion Academy is the latest from the program to commit to the Big East.
"Franklin committed to South Florida last night," said Jones' AAU coach Jeffrey Bishop of the GC Ballerz. "He was also looking at UTEP, Providence, Xavier and Syracuse. UTEP and Xavier were the other two schools that had offered."

Other GC Ballers that committed to the Big East this summer are 2005 prospect Robert Garrison to Connecticut, 2006 prospect Paul Harris to Syracuse, 2006 prospect Lazar Hayward to Marquette and 2007 prospect Johnny Flynn to Syracuse.
Still developing as an offensive player, Jones is a certified wide-bodied presence on the defensive end.
"He got a lot better towards the end of the summer," said Bishop. "He played hard and ran the floor. His offensive game is limited, but on defense he changes a lot of shots. He rebounds and is a big body."
