Another four-star for St. Johns, 2012 this time
Steve Lavin and his staff already have a quartet of four-star guys and a star juco player on the line in the class of 2011. Plus, the St. John's staff still has plenty of scholarships to dole out. But, that didn't stop them from making noise in the class of 2012 as local star Jevon Thomas committed Wednesday afternoon.
A jet-quick point guard who plays his high school ball at Centereach (N.Y.) Our Savior New American, Thomas has been a well known quantity in NYC hoops circles since he was a middle schooler.

Over the past couple of summers, Thomas has proven that he's also a guy who can compete on the national scale. He gets to the rim, is a streaky shooter and plays with all of the confidence you would expect out of an NYC point guard.
"He wanted to be a part of the rebirth," Thomas' mentor and summer coach Casey Williams told RedStormReport.com. "He's a New York kid, from Queens and he wanted to play and stay close to his family, his sister and brother."
Currently, Thomas ranks #87 nationally in the 2012 Rivals150.
