Angley to the WCC

After narrowing his choices down to two schools, two-sport standout Brody Angley of Enterprise High School in Redding (Calif.) joined the growing list of prospects to announce their college plans. Will it be football or basketball?
Angley informed NorCalPreps.com that he verbally committed to coach Dick Davey and the Santa Clara Broncos last weekend while on an official visit there. He chose Santa Clara over Eastern Washington. Other schools that showed interest were Northern Arizona, Santa Barbara, Riverside, Irvine, Sacramento State, and William & Mary.

"I built a good relationship with coach Davey and the whole coaching staff," said Angley when asked why he chose Santa Clara. "[Santa Clara] is close to home so my parents can come see me play and the academics are great."
Many actually consider the 5-foot-11 point guard to be a better football prospect. Angley is a runningback/cornerback and was an All-State Underclass selection as a junior last season. He was being recruited by Stanford, Cal, Fresno State, USC, Sac St., and Idaho State to play football. When asked whether he considered playing football in college, Brody said "I wanted to stick to basketball."
Brody is expected to participate in this weekend's Super 100 Mini Camp at Contra Costa College. He says he will sign a National Letter of intent next month.
