Andre Allen Looking at Four
After speaking with point guard Andre Allen’s coach last week, Rivalshoops.com was able to track down Allen and find out more about his recruitment. Coach Horton of Booker T. Washington high school in Memphis, Tennessee had indicated that Allen was down to Houston, Tennessee, and Arkansas.
“You need to add Indiana to that list,” Allen said. “And all but Arkansas have offered scholarships.”

The 5-foot-8, 170-pound Allen recently visited Houston.
“It was a great visit,” he said. “The coaches were good and the players were good.”
Allen, the No. 32 ranked player in the Southeast 34, would like to visit the other three schools but will have to work around his football schedule. He is playing receiver and safety for Booker T. Washington.
It is actually a strong possibility that Allen may not make a decision until after the fall.
“I haven’t sat down and talked with my mom about it yet,” he explained. “But I will probably wait till spring. I’m just not sure right now. I don’t want to rush anything.”
This season Allen has a chance to be the first Tennessee high school basketball player to win three consecutive Mr. Basketball titles.
