Anderson sees more interest

Dakota Anderson had a strong summer on the AAU circuit and now some things are starting to happen for the Phoenix (Ariz.) Northwest Community Christian point guard on the recruiting trail.
Anderson, a 6-foot, 170-pound prospect, said Boise State has kept in contact with him, St. Mary's is starting to get involved and that San Diego's coaching staff recently asked for game film.

San Diego is especially interesting because Anderson's sister plays volleyball there and so he's already familiar with the school and campus.
"They're pretty interested," Anderson said of San Diego. "My sister goes there and plays volleyball so I went on a visit and I liked it a lot."
Anderson said St. Mary's is interested enough in him to possibly see him play during his senior season and Boise State has been involved so he's trying to plan a visit with the Broncos soon.
"Hopefully soon I can pick up some offers," Anderson said.
After averaging almost 20 points per game in his junior season Anderson played with the Arizona Stars in the NIKE Elite Youth Basketball League in Houston and Los Angeles, the Fab 48 in Las Vegas and the Desert Duel in Phoenix this summer.
He played well but still hasn't seen any offers arrive yet. There is definitely more interest, though, a promising sign as Anderson heads into his senior season.
"I thought I did pretty well," Anderson said. "I distributed the ball well, I pushed it. I always had around 8-10 points and eight assists per game.
"It was fun. Before (the Las Vegas tournament), we played in the EYBL and played against Austin Rivers and Marquis Teague so that was a good experience. That went well, too."
