Anderson faced with difficult decision

The end is nearing for James Anderson, the No. 34 ranked player in the class of 2007. The four-star prospect placed Kansas and Oklahoma State at the top of his list last week, and was hoping to put an end to his recruitment this week. However, the decision making process has been more difficult than Anderson originally envisioned. Will a decision be made this week, or will he wait until next week?
"James is pretty much where he was last week," said Junction City head coach Joe Hammett. "No decision has been made yet. James is doing well and has done a good job of handling the situation. I know that this has been a difficult process for him, but he should be ready to decide soon.

"I think that a decision will be made next week," he added. "Coach Bill Self talked about coming out again this week, but nothing has been scheduled yet. Oklahoma State has not scheduled anything yet. KU told me they wanted to come back out again, so I'm sure they will do that."
As it stands right now, fans from Kansas and Oklahoma State will have to wait until next week for Anderson's much anticipated decision. The decision can't come soon enough for Hammett, who is preparing for Junction City's regular season opener, which takes place on November 14.
"Practice is going good. We don't have a full squad yet because some of them are still playing football," said Hammett. "I won't have a full squad until football is over. The football team has a chance to make it all the way to the State Championship game, which is another five weeks away after this week's game."
After taking official visits to Arkansas, Kansas, Florida and Oklahoma State, James, the No. 10 ranked small forward in the class, thought about taking a fifth and final visit to Kentucky.
As of late last week, the Razorbacks, Gators and Wildcats were placed on the backburner, which allowed Anderson to put the Jayhawks and Cowboys at the top of his list. According to Hammett, no additional visit has been scheduled, and Anderson will decide between KU and OSU.
There is a belief that Anderson will make his announcement a week from today, which happens to be the start of the early signing period. If not, he could decide a day or two before.
James Anderson Scouting Report: "A bouncy and wiry wing player, Anderson impacts the game in a number of ways. He is outstanding filling the lanes in transition and is a great offensive rebounder. As a multiposition defender, he has a knack for coming up with big steals. Fairly skilled with the ball as a shooter, handler and passer, Anderson just needs to continue refining those skills. Added strength will help him finish the difficult shots he is capable of creating." - Jerry Meyer of Rivals.com.
