Amaker scores another

New Harvard coach Tommy Amaker is building a nice foundation for his run in the Ivy League. The Crimson added Washington D.C. area guard Max Kenyi on Friday.
According to Kenyi's Gonzaga head coach Steve Turner, the three-star wing had a difficult choice between Harvard, Penn and Holy Cross. Kenyi visited all three and each program made an in-home visit after he traveled to each campus to get a good look around.

"At end of the day his gut felt he wanted to play under Tommy Amaker and, of course, the education provides him for good things with the rest of his life," Turner said. "I think it was a tough decision for him but when it was all said and done, he liked things at all three schools."
Harvard proved to be the best fit for Kenyi. He joins California guard Oliver McNally and Illinois forward Peter Boehm. Turner said Kenyi should help out right away.
"I think his upside is tremendous at that level," the coach said. "Max is a high-major athlete…Some people have called him a real 'stat stuffer'. He does a lot of things really well. The one thing that he does is stopping people for us. He can guard one through the four.
"I think his athleticism will help because you can put him on bigger guards or a smaller forward. He can guard the quick point guards. Everyone that we him put on, those guys had their stuff disrupted in their offense."
