Banger Amadou Fall, 6-5, 235-pounds, from Boys and Girls
High School in Brooklyn is a blue-collar post player

who is considering some strong academic universities.
Fall, who is averaging 16 points and 12 rebounds for
B&G coach Ruth Lovelace, has a clear-cut favorite.
"I'd like to go to Brown," said Fall, "but I'm still
waiting to hear if I've gotten admitted," Fall said.
Other schools who have expressed interest include
Lafayette and UMBC. Fall has already taken an official
visit to Brown, and plans on taking more visits after
the season. He is not sure which campuses he will
tour.
Fall is a lunch-pail type player who uses his bulk
to bull his way around the paint. He gets the majority
of his points grappling underneath. An undersized
power player, Fall has a sturdy frame to work with and
good strength.
Fall, one of the friendliest and most outgoing of
any of the New York City players we've spoken to, is a
native of Senegal who came to the United States for
his freshman year of high school, in 1998. Despite
only learning the language a few years ago, Fall has
thrived academically, maintaining a B average in the
classroom. He recently raised his SAT score to 1090.
