AM nabs Georgia sleeper

Over the past month or so, Davante Fitzgerald has been a hot name with college coaches.
On Sunday, the near 6-foot-7 wing from Tucker (Ga.) High went from a hot name to a committed one.

After a weekend visit to College Station, Texas, the senior gave a verbal commitment to Billy Kennedy and the Texas A&M staff.
The emergence of Fitzgerald has been an interesting one to track. He wasn't seen very much during the summer but has really blown up over the past month or so.
College coaches that have been in to see him have characterized him as a shooter with great size and significant upside. In fact, it's only fitting that the three-star committed to A&M because the comparison most often brought up was Khris Middleton.
Fitzgerald joins dual sport stud Derrick Griffin (a four-star power forward in football) as an early member of A&M's 2013 recruiting class.
