AM lands local combo guard

New Texas A&M head coach Billy Kennedy was dogged in his following of local prospects during the month of July.
Friday, that effort paid off as local star J-Mychal Reese made an oral commitment to the Aggies during an unofficial visit.

A 6-foot-1 combo guard from Bryan (Texas) High, the left handed Reese is a high scoring guard. Preferring to attack off the dribble, he's quick and is an excellent mid-range scorer.
Throughout much of the summer, there had been rampant speculation that Reese would follow his father John -- who also serves as his high school coach -- to school because the elder Reese had been offered jobs by A&M, Texas Tech and LSU.
A few weeks ago, it was reported that the elder Reese would not be taking a new job and it was widely believed that Kansas was the leader.
Currently ranked #59 in the class of 2012, the four-star Reese is Texas A&M's first recruit in the class of 2012.
With Reese's commitment to A&M, speculation has once again started up that his father will end up on the Aggies bench. At this point, there has been no confirmation as to whether or not that could happen or is even still a possibility.
