Alvin Reed Is Open

Alvin Reed, a 6-1, 165 pound combo guard from Lawrence Academy in Groton, Mass., is currently wide open on schools.
Reed had initially committed to Yale University last fall, but according to a member of the Lawrence Academy staff, an admissions snafu will prevent him from attending the Ivy League school.

As a result, Reed is now surveying his options. The California native has seen interest thus far from Colgate and Bucknell, as well as New England Division II stalwarts Bryant College and St. Michael's.
A strong penetrator with a penchant for scoring, Reed pumped in 28 points on Sunday to help the Spartans claim a 61-52 victory over the St. Andrew's School for the NEPSAC Class C crown.
A strong student, Reed has already qualified academically, and is looking for more schools to get involved this spring. We'll keep you posted on his situation, so stay tuned.
