Alleyne Still Trying To Decide

Rice big man Shagari Alleyne told us tonight he is meeting this evening about possibly making a decision. "I am going to meet tonight," Alleyne said. "I am still in the decision making process."
It's known that Kentucky, Rutgers, and Pepperdine are strong in the recruiting process. "There are more schools," Alleyne said. "But I am going to have a meeting. I don't know when I might have a decision."

Alleyne's stock dropped a little bit based on his summer performance on the AAU circuit with The New York Gauchos and the Nike Camp.
Alleyne had previously visited Louisville in the spring, but the school's low post commitments mean that they are no longer in the picture. Shagari took an unofficial trip to Pepperdine while he was on vacation in California, visiting family.
Alleyne also visited Kentucky and Rutgers. Other names that we have heard connected with Alleyne include St. John's. Kentucky in particular is purported to be a contender for the New York City native. But Alleyne denied he had a school in mind right now.
Reports that stated Alleyne had set up a press conference were denied by Shagari. "I don't have a decision yet," Alleyne said.
But Alleyne has been shy with writers about disclosing details about his recruiting process. So despite Alleyne denying the press conference story, one might think there is some truth to this possibility.
