Allen to the Big East

Bryon Allen, a 2010 three-star prospect out of Mouth of Wilson (Va.) Oak Hill Academy, will take his physical brand of basketball to the Big East.
Tuesday afternoon, prior to West Virginia's Big East matchup against Connecticut, Allen committed to Bob Huggins while on the campus for an unofficial visit.

"I don't have a lot of details, but Bryon texted me this afternoon that he had committed to West Virginia," Oak Hill coach Steve Smith said.
A power guard at 6 feet 2 and 192 pounds, Allen is a versatile prospect who should fit in well with Coach Huggins' style of play. Allen can defend multiple positions and is a strong rebounder. Offensively, he is not a big scorer but can pick up buckets in a variety of ways while also being a reliable ball-handler.
Allen joins four-star point guard Noah Cottrill in West Virginia's 2010 recruiting class.
