Allegany Junior College Updates

Allegany J.C. of Cumberland, Md., has always had one of the top programs in the junior college ranks, and this year is no exception.
The Trojans, under the guidance of longtime Head Coach Bob Kirk, have a trio of sophomores who could make early college decisions.

Coach Kirk informed JUCO Junction/Rivalshoops.com that the three players have each taken an early official visit.
Jamar Smith, a 6-9, 220 pound combo forward from New Jersey, has visited the University of Maryland. Smith averaged 7.7 points and 5.3 rebounds per game as a freshman, shooting nearly 50 percent from the field.
Trello Galloway, a 6-7 transfer from Tulane University via Myrtle Beach S.C., has visited Georgia State. Galloway last played at Tulane in 1999-2000, averaging 3.8 points and 3.4 rebounds and he started 22 of 31 games that season for the Green Wave.
Troy Godwin, a burly 6-6, 260 pound power forward from Virginia, has visited Western Kentucky. Godwin, who will likely play both the four and five slots this season at Allegany, averaged 6.9 points and 4.8 rebounds per contest.
Coach Kirk said that there is a chance the above three players could sign early. He should know more as the early signing period (which begins on Nov. 14 and runs through the 21st) approaches.
JUCO Junction/Rivalshoops.com will be checking in with Kirk in November to find out if any of the three above players sign early, so stay tuned!
